DR SCOTT J TURNER
Specialist Plastic Surgeon(FRACS)
MED0001654827
Dr Scott J Turner is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon (FRACS) and the Medical Director of FacePlus Aesthetics. Over more than a decade of face-exclusive surgical practice, he has developed a particular interest in the biology of facial ageing: why the face changes the way it does, what drives those changes at a tissue and systemic level, and how that knowledge should inform the way aesthetic care is planned.
That interest is what led to FacePlus Aesthetics. Non-surgical treatments and longevity medicine, guided by a surgeon who understands facial anatomy in depth, represent a more considered approach than either discipline offers in isolation. Dr Turner brings the same clinical rigour to a consultation here as he does in a surgical setting.
Welcome to FacePlus
FacePlus Aesthetics is a specialist-led clinic in Manly on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, focused on two areas: non-surgical facial treatments and longevity medicine. Both are delivered under the medical direction of Dr Scott J Turner, a Specialist Plastic Surgeon (FRACS).
The pairing is deliberate. How your face ages is not purely a surface concern. Skin quality, tissue behaviour, and facial structure are all influenced by the same physiological processes that longevity medicine seeks to understand and address. Dr Turner’s view is that the future of facial aesthetics isn’t narrower treatments applied to isolated concerns; it’s a more complete picture of how the face changes over time, and what can genuinely be done about it.
Face procedures
Facelift

Addresses age-related changes to the midface, lower face, and jawline through surgical repositioning of deeper facial structures.
Neck Lift

Targets platysmal banding, skin laxity, and jowling to improve definition along the jawline and neck.
DEEP PLANE FACELIFT
FEATURED
The deep plane facelift is the procedure most frequently performed at FacePlus Aesthetics, and it sits at the core of Dr Turner’s practice. Where traditional facelift approaches rely primarily on skin repositioning and tension, the deep plane technique works beneath the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) to release and reposition the muscular and ligamentous structures as a single composite unit.
What does this mean in practical terms? Rather than pulling skin tighter which can create an operated appearance over time, the deep plane approach lifts tissues from their deeper attachments. This allows midface volume to be repositioned, the jawline to be refined, and the overall facial structure to be addressed at the level where ageing actually occurs. Dr Turner tailors every deep plane facelift to the patient’s individual facial anatomy, which is assessed thoroughly during the initial consultation at his Bondi Junction clinic.
For patients considering alternatives, Dr Turner also performs the SMAS facelift, short scar facelift, and Vertical Restore facelift , a comprehensive approach combining multiple facial procedures. The most appropriate technique depends on your anatomy, degree of ageing, and what you want to achieve, which Dr Turner discusses in detail during consultation.

RHINOPLASTY
FEATURED
Rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding facial procedures, and it is a core part of Dr Turner’s practice at FacePlus Aesthetics. Whether the concern is a dorsal prominence, a wide or asymmetric nasal tip, breathing difficulty, or overall nasal proportion relative to the rest of the face — each rhinoplasty is planned individually based on the patient’s nasal anatomy and stated goals.
Dr Turner uses several rhinoplasty techniques depending on the clinical situation, including ultrasonic rhinoplasty for precise bone work with reduced tissue trauma, and tip rhinoplasty for patients whose concerns are limited to the nasal tip. For patients with breathing concerns alongside aesthetic goals, functional rhinoplasty or septoplasty may be incorporated into the surgical plan. The aim is always to work with the existing nasal character rather than impose a single template — preserving what is already balanced while addressing the specific concerns you raise during consultation.
